My client, a regional developer/builder of multi-family (wood frame/slab on grade infill) 'for sale' product, has an immediate need for 2 purchasing managers. One position will purchase directs/house costs, the other will purchase land development activities.
Responsibilities
Provide cost/design insights during diligence/acquisition.
Review plans (Architects/Civil Engineers)
Produce preliminary budgets
Produce/review scopes of work
Solicit bids, negotiate and award contracts
Monitor budgets
Qualifications
~ Strong negotiation skills
~ Ability to read plans
~ Knowledge/experience with construction practices.
~3 - 10 years' of purchasing experience in either house 'directs' or land development
~ Local subcontractor relationships
~ Strong written and verbal communication skills
