About Jetpay by Baseline Payments

Baseline Payments is a Vancouver-based payments consultancy and fintech, serving nearly 2,000 clients across Canada and the U.S. Jetpay is our proprietary payment solution platform designed to simplify transactions for businesses through secure, efficient payment processing services.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner / Product Manager with 6–10 years of experience to join our growing Jetpay team. You will collaborate closely with our Solution Architect and development team to align product features with business goals and customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Create and manage product backlogs and user stories
2. Define the QA process and establish clear expectations for what “done” means
3. Manage developer task allocation and ensure clarity of deliverables
4. Facilitate the estimation process and support the documenting detailed specifications for product requirements
5. Contribute to the development and prioritization of the product roadmap
6. Ensure effective workload distribution across the product team
7. Work collaboratively with the Solution Architect, the sales director and developers
8. Represent business priorities in product planning and execution
9. Report directly to the Strategy Officer

Qualifications

1. Product management experience, ideally gained in nimble, fast-paced environments such as agencies, consultancies, or boutique product teams
2. Proven ability to write clear user stories and manage product backlogs
3. Strong project management skills, with experience guiding cross-functional teams
4. Experience working in Agile environments; Scrum Master certification or experience is a plus
5. Comfortable working with technical teams and translating business needs into features
6. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
7. Familiarity with payment processing systems or fintech platforms (preferred)
8. Must be available to work from our Vancouver office (Mount Pleasant)

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, IT Management, Computer Science, or a related field
• Product Management certification (e.g., CSPO, Professional Product Manager) is a plus
• Experience in Agile deployment and/or holding a Scrum Master certification is a strong asset
