About the Firm

We are currently working with a San-Francisco-based private equity firm that is seeking to add an Associate to its investment team. The firm has developed a reputation for its operationally-driven approach and has built a successful track record of investing in founder-led businesses across the lower middle market. With a recently raised fund and a history of consistent performance, the team continues to focus on transformative investments in the industrials and business services sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the identification, evaluation, and execution of investment opportunities in the lower middle market, with a focus on industrials and business services.
• Participate in all stages of the investment process, including due diligence, financial modeling, deal structuring, and execution.
• Collaborate with portfolio company management and internal operating partners to drive value creation initiatives.
• Assist in the preparation of investment committee materials, board presentations, and other strategic documentation.
• Monitor portfolio performance and contribute to ongoing strategic and operational planning.

Qualifications:

• 1.5–3 years of experience in investment banking or private equity.
• Strong financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding academic credentials and demonstrated intellectual curiosity.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a small, entrepreneurial team.
