Overview

Independent FedEx Ground contractor is seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle heavy lifting and manual transmission vehicles. Responsibilities

• Drive delivery vehicles, including vans and box trucks, to transport goods to designated locations.
• Load and unload products efficiently while ensuring they are secured for transport.
• Perform heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Operate pallet jacks and other equipment to facilitate the movement of goods.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times and any issues encountered.
• Provide excellent customer service by interacting positively with clients during deliveries.
• Ensure the vehicle is properly maintained and report any mechanical issues promptly.
• Follow all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• 21 or older
• Pass an extensive background check and motor vehicle record (no more than 1 moving violation in the past 3 years is accepted)
• Pass drug screening, and DOT medical exam
• Must be able to lift packages up to 150 lbs. Handcarts are provided.
• Job start time is between 8:00 - 8:30 am, the work-week schedule varies Saturday-Friday with a rotating schedule. Must be available to work at the weekends if needed.
• Amazon, UPS, USPS, military vehicles, box truck driving experience, moving company experience, FedEx, or DHL experience is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with local routes and navigation tools is beneficial.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Peak Season: 11/17- 12/31 is a 6-day (PAID) work week and a blackout period (in which no requests for time off are granted) THANKSGIVING DAY AND CHRISTMAS DAY are non-workdays.
• 2 Weeks of paid training at $750 per week
• Our drivers typically earn between $45,000 - $65,000 yearly.
• After 6 months you start to accrue vacation days.
• Health Insurance offered after 90 days of employment.
• High school or equivalent (Preferred)
