About the Role
The Company is in search of two new trustees to join its board, with a particular focus on individuals who can bring financial and/or legal expertise to the team. The charity is dedicated to supporting the learning-disabled community and is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment. The ideal candidates for the trustee positions, one with a financial background to serve as Vice Chair of the Finance Committee, and the other with a legal background to contribute to the board, will work closely with the existing trustees to ensure the organization's legal, regulatory, and financial compliance, as well as its overall good health. The role of the finance trustee includes close collaboration with the Treasurer and Finance Manager, while the legal trustee is expected to support specific aspects of the charity's work, such as safeguarding, recruitment, or HR. The company encourages individuals from all backgrounds and experiences to express their interest, particularly those with a lived experience of disability. Both experienced and first-time trustees are welcome, and the company is prepared to provide the necessary support and guidance.
