You will assist professional lab staff, handle specimen preparation, and ensure lab compliance and safety in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Receive, sort, and process laboratory specimens Perform maintenance on select instruments Conduct centrifuging, aliquoting, inoculation, and slide preparation Maintain specimen records, temperature logs, and inventory Prepare reagents and media Locate and resolve pending lists or missing samples Perform QA/QC tasks and weekly radioactive wipe tests Dispose of biohazardous waste safely and sanitize workstations Use lab information systems and personal computers Complete relevant training and competency documentation Required Experience High school diploma or equivalent No prior experience required Medical assistant training is helpful Nice-to-Have Experience Background in clinical or diagnostic lab settings Experience with sample labeling or specimen processing Required Skills Specimen handling Time management Data entry and accuracy Safety compliance and PPE Ability to multitask and retain information Strong interpersonal and communication skills Preferred Skills Experience in medical or diagnostic labs Math and science coursework Additional Skills Flexibility to adjust to rotating weekend shifts Benefits Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans 401k Retirement Fund About the Client Leading provider of diagnostic information services empowering healthier lives.
