Job Title: Warehouse Coordinator

Position Overview:

The Warehouse Coordinator is a full-time position responsible for overseeing operations of the Senior Life Midland (SLM) Texas Size Garage Sale warehouse. (This is a fundraising function benefitting our Meals On Wheels program). This position reports directly to the Director of Development. This role requires a strong ability to multitask, communicate and collaborate across departments of Senior Life Midland, while overseeing volunteers and fostering a welcoming, cohesive environment ensuring the warehouse's alignment with SLM’s mission, policies and values.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee operations of the warehouse, supervise and coordinate volunteer activity ensuring efficiency and organization
• Assist with the scheduling and pickup of donated items from estate sales, residences and additional sources
• Communicate warehouse related needs to administrative staff in a timely manner
• Follow SLM policies, coordinate and communicate warehouse activity with supervisor
• Assist Director of Development with planning of Texas Size Garage Sale Annual Event
• Coordinate recruitment efforts with Director and Coordinator of Volunteer Program
• Prioritize items at Texas Size Garage Sale warehouse for the Meals on Wheels program (as needed) ensuring comfort, security, and well-being of Senior Life Midland clients
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong organizational and leadership qualities
• Basic computer skills required
• Ability to take ownership of duties and maintain confidentiality
• Exceptional problem-solving skills with ability to prioritize and manage time
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must work effectively in a team setting and with a wide range of audiences and stakeholders
• Must be able to stand, lift up to 30 pounds and work in a warehouse setting
• Ability to work some weekend days and evenings as needed

Work Experience

Must have clean background and excellent references 

5 years working experience supervising staff or volunteers

Experience working with seniors or working in non-profit field preferred
