Join our expanding creative team at Abstraction Media, based in the heart of vibrant West Hollywood! We’re seeking a talented and fluent Farsi-speaking video editor to work on a growing catalog of Farsi-language comedy content , including stand-up performances, podcast segments, promotional videos, and more.

This is a unique opportunity to apply your editing skills in a fast-paced creative environment while working with content that celebrates the humor, energy, and identity of Persian-speaking communities.

🧩 Position Overview

The ideal candidate is a versatile editor with a sharp eye for comedic timing, a deep familiarity with social media formats, and a strong understanding of short-form, unscripted content. You'll be editing Farsi-language material , so fluency in spoken and written Farsi is required to ensure editorial accuracy, tone, and cultural relevance.

You’ll often work autonomously and without scripts, so initiative, intuition, and a deep sense of story and pacing are essential.

Please note: This position requires on-site work at our West Hollywood office.

🎯 Responsibilities

• Review and identify compelling Farsi-language content for short-form edits
• Generate accurate logs and transcripts (in Farsi) for efficient content management
• Edit videos for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
• Perform light color correction and basic audio adjustments
• Collaborate with team members to review cuts and implement feedback
• Create eye-catching thumbnails and cover images
• Maintain workflow standards, meet deadlines, and contribute to internal content tracking systems

🛠️ Qualifications

• Fluency in written and spoken Farsi (required due to the Farsi-language nature of the content)
• Expert-level experience with DaVinci Resolve (or strong proficiency with a willingness to learn)
• Solid understanding of audio sync for single and multi-cam setups
• Strong organizational and media management skills
• Experience editing content for comedy, podcasting, or short-form vertical platforms
• Familiarity with online culture, meme formats, and social trends
• Working knowledge of Basecamp, Airtable, Google Drive, etc.
• Bonus: Skills in Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and/or color grading

Salary: $60,000 – $65,000 | Full-Time | On-Site
