\nRadiation Therapist - Radiation Therapist
\n\nJob Details:
\n• Administer radiation therapy in accordance with physician's instructions and patient treatment plans
\n• Enter data into computer systems and set controls to operate and adjust equipment and regulate dosage
\n• Assist physicians, radiation oncologists, clinical physicists and others to prepare physical and technical aspects of radiation treatment plans
\n• Construct patient immobilization devices as ordered by physicians
\n• Maintain patient and billing records, reports and files according to department policies and procedures
\n• Perform routine and complex radiation therapy treatments including total body irradiation, stereotactic radiosurgery, and low and high brachytherapy
\n• Prepare equipment and room for patients
\n• Use appropriate protective equipment and procedures to ensure safety of patients, self, and others
\n• Perform quality assurance procedures per state and federal guidelines
\n• Provide on-the-job clinical instruction and evaluation for student radiation therapists
\n• Temp to perm opportunity
\n• Local candidates will be reviewed first
\n• Elekta experience preferred
\n• No prior experience required
\n• Required: Graduation from a Radiation Therapy Technologist program approved by the Council of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA)
\n• Required: Radiation Therapy certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
