• Shift: Night Shift | 3x12 hours | 36 hours per week
• Contract Duration: 12 Weeks (Initial)
• Guarantee: 36-hour weekly guarantee
• Availability: Open availability required per CoreCivic Scheduling Policy
• Fingerprinting: Conducted on first day; while clearance is pending

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive nursing care in accordance with facility and correctional healthcare standards. Responsibilities include executing provider orders, administering medications, assisting in examinations and treatments, and supervising nursing staff. The RN ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care while maintaining safety, confidentiality, and compliance within the correctional environment.

• Provide nursing care and assist Licensed Independent Providers during examinations and treatments.
• Administer medications and document as required by policy.
• Conduct patient assessments, manage emergencies, and initiate treatment orders.
• Monitor inmate hospitalizations for early releases when appropriate.
• Supervise LPNs/LVNs and non-licensed medical staff to ensure quality care.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of all medical records.
• Assist the Health Service Administrator with audits, documentation, and compliance reports.
• Support accreditation processes (NCCHC/ACA/JCAHO) and facility safety programs.
• Conduct health education and counseling as required.
• Ensure adherence to formulary and pharmacy regulations, especially regarding controlled substances.

Required Education:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (degree or diploma in Nursing).

Required Licensure & Certifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Tennessee.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Preferred Experience:

• Minimum of one (1) year of professional nursing experience, preferably in a correctional or acute care setting.

• 12-week initial contract with possible extension.
• Auto offer based on qualifications and compliance.
• U.S. Citizenship may be required for clearance.
• Must adhere to CoreCivic standards and facility protocols.
