Location: Varies by assignment (within a 50-mile radius, no locals accepted)

Position Type: Full-time Contract

Shift: Night (19:00 - 07:00), 3x12 Hour shifts, every other weekend, holiday coverage as needed

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Cardiac Telemetry to join our team for a rewarding contract position. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac and respiratory conditions, including but not limited to Congestive Heart Failure, Acute Coronary Syndrome, NSTEMI, and COPD.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced environment focused on cardiac and respiratory patients.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
• Administer medications, including IVs and titrated cardiac drips.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized care plans.
• Perform EKGs and interprets results accurately.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and disease prevention.
• Maintain accurate patient records using Epic charting system.
• Adhere to policies and protocols while complying with zero-tolerance policies for tardiness and absences.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience in Cardiac Telemetry or related field.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required; Pass/Fail EKG exam required.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing schedules and float to different units as needed.

Preferred Skills:

• Previous charge experience.
• Familiarity with various patient ratios and high acuity settings.
• Experience with cardiac and respiratory case management.

Education Requirements:

• Graduation from an accredited Nursing program.
• Education verification through a third party is required.

Additional Requirements:

• Must have the ability to complete onboarding compliance in a timely manner.
• No open cases on background checks accepted.
• Local travel radius is limited to 50 miles, and no local candidates will be accepted.
