POSITION SUMMARY
Prepare and implements curriculum and lesson plans for patients/residents admitted to the residential program in a classroom setting. Students age range 12 - 17 years. Provides professional level instruction in accordance with North Carolina Standard Course of Study and comply with all state, federal, and local regulatory laws.
Schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:30am - 5pm. All classes are in-person learning.

MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required. Bachelor’s degree in secondary education preferred.
Experience:
Prior experience in teaching preferred.
License / Certification:
NC Educators license through the NC Department of Public Instruction.
Physical requirements:
Light Work – Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for sedentary work. Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job is rated light work when it requires: (1) walking or standing to a significant degree; (2) sitting most of the time while pushing or pulling arm or leg controls; or (3) working at a production rate pace while constantly pushing or pulling materials even though the weight of the materials is negligible.
