Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team, part of Tim Ma Hospitality.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service, particularly in fine dining environments, and possess expertise in sushi preparation and presentation.
As a Sushi Chef, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality dishes that meet our guests' expectations while adhering to food safety standards.

Duties

• Prepare and present a variety of sushi dishes, ensuring high quality and consistency.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station and kitchen area.
• Follow food handling and safety protocols to ensure the highest standards of hygiene.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and service.
• Assist in menu development by contributing innovative sushi recipes and ideas.
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed.
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on sushi preparation techniques and food safety practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within the food service industry.
• Strong knowledge of food handling, safety regulations, and culinary techniques.
• Proficiency with knife skills and various cooking methods related to sushi preparation.
• Experience in fine dining or catering settings is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• A passion for culinary arts, particularly Japanese cuisine, is essential.

Pay: $23 - $27 per hour
