About the job Sheet Metal TIG Welder Talent Source is looking for an experienced Sheet Metal TIG Welderto join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in TIG welding with a focus on sheet metal fabrication, an eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision. This role requires a high level of craftsmanship, as you will be responsible for producing precise welds on a variety of sheet metal projects for our clients.Key Responsibilities: Perform TIG welding on thin-gauge sheet metal, ensuring high-quality and accurate welds. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications to understand project requirements. Prepare and set up sheet metal pieces for welding by grinding, buffing, and positioning as needed. Inspect welds for quality, alignment, and conformity to specifications. Use hand tools and power equipment for metal cutting, bending, and shaping to meet design requirements. Collaborate with the fabrication team to improve processes and achieve project goals. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety standards and company policies.Requirements: Experience: 3+ years in TIG welding, particularly with sheet metal; additional welding experience is a plus. Technical Skills: Proficiency with TIG welding equipment, sheet metal tools, and reading technical drawings. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in various postures. Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy, quality, and consistency. Safety: Knowledge of welding safety protocols and commitment to safe work practices.Preferred Qualifications: Certification in welding (e.g., AWS TIG certification) is an advantage.
