Senior Operations Manager

Responsible for supervising the handling of all inbound/outbound freight, mentoring and developing team members, and developing sound strategy to meet company goals and grow the warehouse.

A well-established fashion accessories company is seeking a hands-on Warehouse Manager to oversee daily operations at our fast-paced distribution facility. This leadership role will manage a team of approximately 40 employees, including warehouse supervisor, and will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence across all warehouse functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily warehouse operations including inventory management, inbound container unloading, putaway, order picking, packing, and outbound shipping via UPS, FedEx, and third-party carriers.
• Manage and motivate team members to meet performance targets, maintain safety protocols, and ensure accurate, on-time order fulfillment.
• Coordinate B2B shipments to major retailers (including Walmart via EDI) and D2C orders through e-commerce channels such as Amazon.
• Leverage and help improve operational KPIs to drive efficiency and productivity across the warehouse.
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to streamline workflow, reduce errors, and optimize labor usage.
• Utilize a proprietary Warehouse Management System (WMS) to manage inventory, track shipments, and ensure data integrity.
• Collaborate with other departments including customer service, sales, and IT to ensure seamless order processing and fulfillment.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience managing warehouse operations, preferably in a fashion, accessories, or consumer goods environment.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
• Familiarity with EDI systems for Walmart and/or Amazon fulfillment is highly preferred.
• Experience managing both B2B and D2C shipping environments.
• Comfortable working with warehouse technology, WMS systems, and data-driven performance tools.
• Ability to lead by example and maintain a hands-on presence on the warehouse floor.
