Senior Vessel Space & Allocation Controller On-site role Mon-Fri (w/1 hour lunch) 774 South Shelmore Boulevard Suite 101, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464 Position Summary: The Vessel Space and Allocation Control department at OOCL (USA) Inc. supports the Sales organization in North America by managing vessel space and customer allocation in alignment with our capacity and regional performance goals. Senior Vessel Space Controllers work closely with the Outside Sales Representatives, Sales Management, Trade Management, Customer Service, and our overseas offices. Responsibilities include collaborating with key stakeholders, managing forecasts, providing allocation control at a regional level, sharing information and updates related to services, vessel space, exceptions, and coordinating booking release with local and overseas offices. We work closely with other departments to ensure that both internal and external customers are supported and have the information and tools they need for shipment and allocation planning, while benefitting from a high-quality experience doing business with OOCL. Position Responsibilities (what is the job?): Work in conjunction with Sales to facilitate consistent delivery of a sales plan and coordinate with overseas counterparts to ensure customer allocation agreements are fulfilled. Leverage data analytics to increase planning accuracy, making recommendations and guidance for Sales, and increase overall regional performance. Act as a regional sales liaison and review internal system process with regions for customers. Work with local and overseas booking regions to ensure bookings are accepted in line with direction based on allocation, yield maximization and utilization. Streamline booking acceptance, customer forecast, and allocation processes through cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders. Work within a dynamic team to strategize, implement, and improve processes for optimal vessel space and allocation management. Minimum Requirements: Must be able to function in MS Office, especially Excel and Outlook Industry related or transferable knowledge/education Excel at planning, prioritizing, and multi-tasking Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Critical thinking skills What is OOCL?
