Job Description

As a Security Officer - Petrochemical Access Supervisor in Pasadena, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical / Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading chemical and petrochemical location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols. You will use your communication skills to provide an excellent customer experience while being visible and responsive to the needs of the site. What You'll Do:

• Perform access control duties at a chemical or petrochemical facility, verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit of personnel, visitors, and vehicles.
• Assist in implementing site-specific security-related policies and procedures for access control.
• Help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity through presence and observation at access points.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Provide customer service by answering questions and assisting individuals as they enter or exit the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility's business areas and perimeter to observe and report irregularities.
• Support emergency response activities when appropriate, including communicating with site staff and first responders as needed.
• Document all access control-related activities and incidents in accordance with Allied Universal's procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
