As a Security Officer - Access Control Specialist in Tampa, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage and more .

As a member of the Allied Universal team in a food and beverage production environment, you will play a key role in access control, helping to deter unauthorized entry and supporting a secure atmosphere for all personnel and visitors. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout the location. By remaining visible and approachable, you will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication, contributing to a positive experience for everyone on site. What You’ll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities according to company and client procedures.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and client personnel to maintain a secure environment within the food and beverage facility.

• Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• A valid guard card or license is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
