Completion of an accredited Interpreter Training Program (ITP), active Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) certification, and 1+ years Interpreter experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This full-time contract position is for a Braillist to support elementary-aged students in a K-12 school setting located in the Franklin, TN area. The assignment duration runs from January through May 21, 2026, with services provided on-site. The role involves working closely with students who require tactile learning materials and Braille support to facilitate their educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and prepare tactile learning materials and Braille documents tailored to elementary students educational needs.
• Collaborate with educators and support staff to ensure accessibility and learning accommodations.
• Maintain accuracy and timely delivery of Braille materials.
• Support students in understanding and utilizing Braille resources effectively.
• Engage with the school environment to adapt materials as needed throughout the contract period.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Braillist with expertise in tactile materials.
• Strong attention to detail and dedication to quality.
• Familiarity with K-12 educational settings and the needs of elementary-aged students.
• Ability to work on-site full-time throughout the contract duration.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
