We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Critical Care team in the Adult Cardiac/Trauma Surgical Step-Down Unit. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in delivering evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced clinical environment.
ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive, high-quality care to patients in the step-down unit.
Conduct thorough nursing assessments and implement critical patient interventions independently.
Accurately document all care and assessments in EPIC Electronic Medical Records.
Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and support staff to coordinate patient care.
Respond rapidly to emergencies and administer life-saving interventions when necessary.
Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
Deliver compassionate, culturally sensitive care to a diverse patient population.
Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Participate in ongoing professional education and training.
Maintain active BLS certification and readiness for recertification.
Active New York State RN License (required).
Minimum 1.5 years of recent acute care experience (within the last 2 years) in a comparable facility.
Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Center experience preferred.
Prior use of EPIC EMR strongly preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
