Job Summary:

The Image Masters Production Artist reports to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and coordinates design work between the Production/Screenprinting Department, Order Management, and our Sales Team.

The Production Artist's time is devoted primarily to: (1) monitoring, responding to, and completing design projects/ requests in the Graphic Services art queue; (2) assessing the production schedule with the COO & Screenprinting Lead, and (3) ensuring that the Screenprint team always has the art files/separations needed for production; (4) redraws of client-provided logos/designs, (5) more creative design work as needed.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Coordinating and managing a workload queue in coordination with our dedicated (remote) Graphic Designer.
• Being a resource for the Sales, Order Management & Production teams when questions or issues arise.
• Coordinating with the Screenprinting Lead, ensuring that the Screenprinting Department has the vector art separations needed for a smooth production workflow.
• Graphic Design work as needed, including vector redraws, recolors, and proof generation in Adobe Illustrator.
• Creative Design work as needed, including vector logo generation & design decks in Adobe Illustrator.
• Occasional non-vector design work upon request.
• Other reasonably related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Advanced Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator (with an emphasis on work with Vector graphics).
• General Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop.
• Basic Proficiency with Microsoft Office & Internet Browsers.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Education and Experience:

• Optional: Degree in Graphic Design (preferred but not required), or
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
