Join Our Team as a Procurement Forester!

Position: Full-time, Permanent
Location: On-site in Gloster, MS

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Procurement Forester, you will play a crucial role in tracking and analyzing the fiber supply across Southern North America for all wood pellet producing facilities. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with the local Plant Manager and central Procurement team to meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost objectives.
• Supporting pellet plants through the planning and execution of fiber purchases.
• Fostering a data-driven approach to develop and sustain a low-cost/high-margin fiber supply strategy.
• Ensuring compliance with forest certification standards and leading internal and external audit processes.
• Implementing purchasing process improvements focused on supplier management, inventory management, and continuity of supply.

Key Accountabilities

• Be a proactive safety leader, creating a “Safety First” culture.
• Manage weekly/monthly fiber inventory counts.
• Conduct tract audits and communicate effectively with fiber suppliers.
• Oversee the execution of the fiber plan and assist in its development and budgeting.
• Manage 3LOG/LIMS sources and contracts, including load disputes and fiber receipts reconciliation.

Who You Are

• Bachelor's degree in Forestry, Natural Resources, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
• Advanced MS Office skills, especially in Excel; proficiency in PowerPoint and Word.
• Analytical and data-driven mindset.
• Experience with statistical analysis tools is a plus.
• Familiarity with 3Log/Aldata, PowerBI, and GIS is advantageous.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong project/time management skills.
• A high level of personal integrity and professionalism.
