Job Description

Our client is a leading middle market private equity firm, investing equity capital in the Industrial, Consumer & Business Services sectors within the lower middle market.

They are seeking a Private Equity Associate (Associate 1) to join their investment team in Charlotte, NC.

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of Investment Banking experience as an Analyst or Associate at a highly reputable investment bank, or direct investment experience at another Private Equity firm (REQUIRED!)
• Experience with Consumer, Industrials or Business Services M&A transactions is a plus.
• Excellent Financial Modeling skills
• Relevant ties or reason for wanting to relocate to Charlotte, NC

Key Responsibilities:

• Investment Analysis : Conduct thorough financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence for potential acquisitions, ensuring rigorous assessment of investment opportunities.
• Market Research : Identify and analyze industry trends, competitive landscapes, and growth prospects to inform investment strategies.
• Portfolio Management : Collaborate with portfolio companies to develop and implement strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and growth plans.
• Reporting: Prepare detailed investment memoranda and presentations for internal committees and stakeholders.
• Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
