RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for implementing departmental policies, objectives, goals, and organizing officials and staff members.
- In charge of coordinating businesses or departments concerned with the production, pricing, sales or distribution of products.
- Monitor businesses and agencies to make sure services are provided within budgetary limits.
- Lead the manufacturing functions in the plant on all shifts to ensure on-time production and shipment of conforming products and materials. Including: planning the production flow, troubleshooting manufacturing issues, handling staffing issues, and monitoring production orders and schedules.
- Increase production by providing leadership and developing strategic plans.
- Ensures understanding and compliance of all regulations, policies, and procedures relating to Safety/OSHA/Regulation controls.
- Lead all heading, metal‑forming, and internal secondary production processes, ensuring safe, efficient, and consistent operations.
- Operate and oversee plant machinery to achieve required throughput targets, including OEE and other performance metrics across multiple products and equipment types.
- Plan and manage daily/period production staffing, ensuring personnel are scheduled appropriately, aligned to correct part routings, and utilized efficiently. Oversee overtime, shift coverage, and labor optimization.
- Ensure all materials are produced to customer specifications while maintaining strict adherence to company quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Verify availability and quality of required tooling for each production run, collaborating with tooling and engineering teams to maximize tool performance and support continuous improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA in Business, Management , Engineering or related field.
- 5 plus years of Plant Management experience in a manufacturing industry.
- Heavy Industrial manufacturing industry experience.
- Manufacturing Methods.
- Proven experience in reducing plant production costs, and in increasing safety standards.
- Previous experience/best practices implementing and using continuous improvement/lean tools such as; Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, etc. to drive improvement.
- Coordination of production activities including job scheduling, staffing, etc and hold daily meeting to coordinate.
- Conduct Quality audits on products moving through-out the plant.
- Ensure labor tracking is timely and accurate.
- Provide training for plant staff.
- Responds to external customer needs with plant visits, assisting in customer surveys, and customer complaint resolution.
- Proven experience in reducing plant production costs, and in increasing safety standards.
