Reach Truck Specialist

This position is responsible for placing and removing pallets of product on high level shelves of warehouse racking through the use of powered industrial trucks and assisting the slotting department by moving product between shelving locations throughout the warehouse. This position will also assist the shelving and replenishment departments.

Regular duties and responsibilities include:

• Operating powered industrial trucks to remove and place pallets of product on high level shelves of warehouse racking.
• Shelving product that a ladder cannot reach through the use of powered industrial trucks.
• Assisting slotting department with forward and secondary location moves.
• Ensuring shelved pallets are correctly labeled and stretch-wrapped.
• Assisting other departments as needed.

Employees supervised: None

Qualifications:

• The Reach Truck Specialist must have six months of experience operating a reach truck.
• This individual must be able to effectively communicate with others.
• This person must have sound judgment.
• This individual must be able to work efficiently, accurately, and independently.

Physical demands:

• While performing the duties of this position, the associate is regularly required to talk and hear.
• The associate is frequently required to walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
• Must be able to move at a fast pace throughout the warehouse.
• The associate must also stand, climb, balance, stoop, and kneel.
• The ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds is required.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
• The physical demands of this job are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform its essential functions.
