Job Description

The Payroll Clerk is responsible for accurately processing employee payroll, maintaining payroll records, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and company policies. This role involves handling sensitive employee information, calculating wages, verifying timesheets, and resolving payroll discrepancies in a timely manner.   Key Responsibilities: * Process weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly payroll for employees * Review and verify employee timesheets and attendance records * Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions * Maintain payroll records and ensure accuracy of employee data * Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies * Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations * Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management     Requirements: * High school diploma or equivalent  * Proven experience in payroll processing or a similar role * Strong understanding of payroll practices and regulations * Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel * Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills * Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
