Job Description

**Responsibilities** A patient sitter is an entry level position assisting nurses in direct patient care activities. This position provides 24 hour coverage making observations of any problems the patient may be experiencing while assuring patient safety in the designated hospital clinical units. Under the direct supervision of the nurse the candidate must demonstrate ability to quickly make decisions to report changes in patient conditions/situations. + Remains present with patient and has visual observation at all times + Reports all behavior changes to nurse + Maintains patient confidentiality at all times + Responds to patient needs and requests **Qualifications** **Minimum Education:** + High school diploma or GED equivilent **Minimum Certifications:** + Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support card (AHA BLS) **Preferred Qualifications** : + Six (6) months experience in healthcare or hospital setting **Overview** Chandler Regional Medical Center is a 429 bed non-profit facility providing quality health care to patients and communities in and around Chandler, Arizona.
