Job Title: Parts, Service & Rental Manager

Job Overview

The Last Resort in Ronald, WA is seeking an experienced and motivated Parts, Service & Rental Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our parts inventory, service shop, and vehicle/equipment rental department. This dynamic role requires a hands-on leader with a passion for powersports, off-road vehicles, or recreational equipment—someone who can balance customer service, technical expertise, and inventory control in a fast-paced seasonal environment.

Key Responsibilities

🧰 Service Department

• Schedule and oversee all maintenance and repair services on rental and customer-owned equipment (e.g., snowmobiles, ATVs, UTVs).
• Supervise service technicians, ensuring high-quality and timely repairs.
• Maintain accurate work orders and service records.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues as needed.

🌁 Rental Operations

• Manage the fleet of rental vehicles and equipment—ensuring safety, maintenance, and timely turnaround.
• Oversee the check-in/check-out process and ensure all rental agreements are completed accurately.
• Coordinate customer orientation and safety briefings for equipment use.
• Monitor seasonal usage patterns and help forecast rental needs.

🔩 Parts & Inventory

• Manage inventory levels for both rental/service needs and retail sales.
• Order, receive, and stock OEM and aftermarket parts for various equipment brands.
• Work directly with vendors for pricing, availability, and returns.
• Maintain an organized and efficient parts department.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a management or supervisory role in a service or rental department a plus!
• Experience with recreational vehicles (snowmobiles, ATVs, dirt bikes, UTVs) or small engine repair.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience is a must.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays during peak seasons.
• Familiarity with inventory management software and point-of-sale systems.

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience in the powersports or outdoor recreation industry; Lizzy, Lightspeed and Vendor ordering a plus (WPS, FXR, Parts Unlimited etc)
• Working knowledge of Polaris, Ski-Doo, Yamaha, or similar brands.
• Basic knowledge of OSHA safety compliance.
• Experience working in a seasonal/resort-based business model.
