Music Teacher

Elementary School Level

RSU 71 is looking for a Music Education Teacher to work with students in three of the district’s elementary schools; A successful candidate will: 

• Be committed to students and their learning.  
• Have experience implementing a comprehensive Music curriculum for students in Pre-K through 5th grade
• Establish a learning environment in which students are safe, respectful, and responsible
• Use differentiating approaches to meet individual student needs and engage all students in learning activities.  
• Be a positive and collaborative team member in support of school improvement
• Collaborate with district music education staff around music instruction curriculum planning.  
• Hold Maine State Certification in Music Education (614).
