Job Description

We are seeking Music Instructors who can teach one or more of the following:  Violin, Viola, and/or Voice ! The ideal candidate will have a  strong background in music education and previous experience in teaching music . This role involves teaching from an established curriculum, fostering a positive learning environment, and inspiring students to develop their musical talents. By teaching theory and technique using music that students know and love, B2R teachers develop musicians who enjoy performing, recording in our studio, and even composing original music.

Responsibilities

• Teach private and semi-private lessons using Bach to Rock curriculum and cover song arrangements
• Teach various aspects of music, including theory, performance techniques, and instrument proficiency.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain an engaging learning atmosphere.
• Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their growth.
• Assess a student’s readiness to join a band or ensemble
• Assist at school events
• May repair equipment as needed and able.
• Engage with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and address any concerns.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate an understanding of music concepts, theory, techniques relevant to their instrument(s) and be able to communicate those concepts effectively to students
• MUST be able to teach from a music lesson book
• Verifiable previous music teaching experience
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a variety of personalities
• Strong organizational skills
• Enthusiastic, flexible, patient, and positive demeanor
• Experience working with youth and/or beginning musicians
• Ability to interact effectively with children and adults
• Playing 2+ instruments desirable
• Ability to pass a background check
• Part-time, some weekend day availability required
