Provision of comprehensive, high quality and cost-effective care to inpatients and outpatients accessing AMC for wound care services in accordance with professional standards of practice and AMC Medical Staff Bylaws. Physician to lead wound care program as both a provider and Medical Director. This dual role position involves delivering high quality wound care services while overseeing clinical operations, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance for the wound care clinic. Physician to demonstrate strong clinical expertise in wound management and provide strategic leadership to enhance patient outcomes, improve processes, and foster a culture of excellence and accountability. Works collaboratively and cooperatively as a member of the health care team within the outpatient clinic and the Hospital. Specifically collaborates with Primary Care, Hospitalists, Surgeons and Emergency Department and other specialists to facilitate high quality patient care.

Educational Requirements/ Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited medical school (M.D. or D.O.) and active New York State license with current DEA certification.
• Board certified in an appropriate specialty (i.e. Internal Medicine, Surgery) required.
• Certified in Wound Care (i.e. ABWMS, CWSP, or equivalent) preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of wound care experience; prior leadership or directorship experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of wound healing processes, advanced wound modalities, and evidence-based practices. Excellent communication, leadership, and organization skills.
