Job Description

We are seeking a Mechanical Inspector to join our team at “Bureau Veritas”. In this role, you will be responsible for performing inspections on mechanical components and systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough inspections of mechanical components, assemblies, and systems to verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.
• Equipment inspected – Should have done inspections on –
• Pipes
• Fittings – Elbows, Tees, Flanges
• Valves – Gate, Globe, Check, Knife Gate, NRV, Pressure safety, Actuated
• Plates
• Structural items – I-Beam, C-Channel, Angles, Bars
• Orifice

Detailed inspection experience –

1. Witness Factory acceptance test for valves
2. Hydrostatic test for seat/body of vales, pipes, fittings
3. NDE / NDT
4. Read and interpret drawings
5. MTC review
6. Witness lab testing
7. Visual and Dimensional inspection

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 10-15 years of inspection experience in QA/QC for Piping, Fittings, Valves, General Mechanical equipment’s
• Should have working knowledge of API 598, Relevant ASME standards (Certifications will be added advantage)
• Should be able to prepare good Inspection reports using MS Word.
• Should be able to work with different reporting tools.

Educational Requirements:

Diploma / Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering

Offered salary - 45 USD/hour

Job Location - Ceder Rapid and Pella in IOWA state in USA
