Western Veterinary Partners is searching for experienced veterinarians to join our team in a regional locum DVM role.
We're hiring multiple locum veterinarians to support our hospitals throughout the state. Based on our current locations, locum DVMs will primarily serve hospitals in these areas:
- San Francisco peninsula
- Greater Sacramento
- Butte and Shasta counties
- Reno/Tahoe area - open to seasonal shifts!
This is a
full-time relief position that is perfect for doctors easily connect with diverse teams and would find fulfillment having a
dynamic caseload. We're looking to hire veterinarians who will easily adapt to each hospital's culture/needs and has hands-on experience in a small animal hospital. Large animal and exotic experience are a plus, but not required.
To be considered for the role, you must be a licensed DVM (or have the ability to become licensed) in California. Veterinarians who have
3+ years of clinical experience are encouraged to apply.
Get to know our hospitals: Our California hospitals are well-established general practices that are dedicated to high standards of medicine and client care. While each of our locations are different, excellent doctor-to-doctor collaboration and a well utilized support staff are staples at them all.
San Francisco peninsula locations:
- 2 sister hospitals within 6 miles of each other (with additional locations coming soon)
- Multiple RVTs on staff
- Small animal GP services
- Both locations are multi-doctor clinics
- Excellent support staff training process
- Beautiful location with mature trees and committed client base
Greater Sacramento locations:
- 2 Elk Grove locations within 5 miles of each other (Sacramento location coming soon)
- Multiple RVTs on staff
- Small animal and exotic medicine
- Both locations are multi-doctor clinics

- Longstanding clientele
- GP and advanced procedures (including orthopedics)
Butte and Shasta counties:
- 2 locations located in Bella Vista and Chico (under 1.5 hours apart)
- Small and mixed animal medicine (~25% large animal)
- Both locations are multi-doctor clinics
- Multiple RVTs on staff
- Paperless PMS (Cornerstone)
- Great community reputations (nearly 5 star ratings)
- GP and advanced services (including equine dentistry, emergencies, and alternative medicine)
