Litigation Paralegal

Location: Torrance, CA

Compensation: Up to $90K per year, along with Paid Time Off, Paid Sick Time and Holidays, Healthcare, Dental and Vision Coverage, 401k

Job Type: Direct Hire, Full-Time, Hybrid (2 days onsite and 3 days remote)

We are working with a reputable regional law firm seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join their team in Torrance, CA. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in complex civil litigation defense, with a strong background in managing heavy discovery. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who is a quick learner and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Discovery Management: Draft and respond to discovery requests, manage document production, and assist in large-scale discovery projects.
• Case Management: Maintain case files, track deadlines, and manage litigation calendars.
• Deposition Support: Coordinate and schedule depositions, prepare witness files, and issue subpoenas as needed.
• Court Filings: Prepare and file documents in state and federal courts; familiarity with iManage is a plus.
• Trial Preparation: Assist in preparing for trials, mediations, and arbitrations, including organizing exhibits and trial binders.
• Legal Document Drafting: Draft, edit, and proofread various legal documents, including correspondence, pleadings, and case summaries.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in complex civil litigation defense.
• Paralegal certificate required.
• Extensive experience with discovery, document production, and case management.
• Knowledge of state and federal court filing procedures.
• Familiarity with iManage or similar document management systems preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
