Job Description

Responsibilities
• Conduct interviews with potential clients and witnesses.
• Draft detailed memoranda summarizing interviews and assessments.
• Review and analyze a wide range of documents including employment, social security, military, and property records.
• Perform internet research on defendants, job sites, and employment history.
• Identify, locate, and assess potential witnesses for viability.
• Prepare declarations and correspondence, and help manage document productions.
• Collaborate with paralegals and attorneys to ensure accurate record-keeping and case development.
• Maintain up-to-date entries in databases and time tracking software.
• Occasionally travel for meetings or field investigations.
• Handle sensitive matters with confidentiality and professionalism.

Essential Skills & Traits
• Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build rapport and navigate emotionally charged conversations with empathy.
• Inquisitive, resourceful, and fearless in making cold calls and conducting interviews.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
• Quick learner with the ability to understand complex legal and liability issues.
• Knowledge of contractor, premises, and product liability strongly preferred.
• Ethical, reliable, and open to immediate changes and direction.

This is a REMOTE position within the Los Angeles/San Diego area.
