A respected healthcare organization in Oceanside, New York is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform patient specimen analysis with precision and accuracy.
This is a confidential search for a critical lab role where attention to detail and adherence to clinical standards are essential.
As a Laboratory Technician, you will:
Perform analysis on patient specimens, ensuring accuracy and precision in all reported results.
Follow established laboratory protocols and quality control procedures to meet CLIA and New York State Department of Education standards.
Prepare and handle reagents, supplies, and samples in compliance with safety and infection control requirements.
Document and communicate results clearly and accurately within the laboratory information system.
Stand for prolonged periods and safely lift reagents and supplies as required.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
Collaborate with medical and technical staff to support timely patient care.
Education: Associate’s degree (2-year) in Medical Laboratory Technology from an accredited institution, or credentials meeting CLIA requirements .
Experience: No prior lab experience required—training provided in accordance with department guidelines.
MediClear or equivalent credential required for consideration.
Completion of in-house orientation program upon hire.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accuracy and compliance.
