Now Hiring : Lab Technician

Job Description

This role is an entry-level position in the lab that does not require a degree. The individual will be involved in documentation and inventory management, as well as the batch release process. They will assist in setting up equipment, media preparation, organization, and creating specification sheets for scientists.

Responsibilities

• Spend 60% of the day behind a desk in the sample prep area, handling paperwork, data entry, and ensuring accurate information recording.
• Spend the remaining time on the production floor for product sampling and interaction with the production team.
• Perform basic sample preparation, including washing dishes, weighing samples, and preparing materials for scientists in the small lab.
• Manage release procedures for all raw, inactive, active, and finished goods, including third-party contract and customer sample releases.
• Oversee inventory management for materials on hold or quarantine.
• Maintain stability control by ensuring all commitments are met, sampling and storing under proper conditions, and coordinating with production for sampling schedules.
• Handle all raw materials and finished goods, approve containers, and generate testing specification sheets.
• Maintain document control, including record retention for seven years, archive retention, and updating master files and SOPs for production and laboratory.

Essential Skills

• Experience in document control and basic lab preparation.
• High level of attention to detail and initiative.
• Interest in laboratory work and documentation experience.
• Knowledge of laboratory procedures, GMP, QC, documentation review, batch records, prepping, labeling, and lab equipment.
• Experience in microbiology, biology, inventory management, and control.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• No degree required, but experience in entry-level lab work is beneficial.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
