MBS is hiring a Japanese Translator in Cincinnati, OH. This position is a full-time, long-term contract opportunity.

FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• · Translate written materials from Japanese to English and vice versa.
• · Ensure that translations are accurate, clear, and culturally appropriate.
• · Maintain a high level of linguistic precision and attention to detail.
• · Work with a team of translators, editors, and project managers to meet deadlines and project specifications.
• · Use translation software tools (CAT tools) to assist in the translation process.
• · Edit and proofread translations to ensure quality and consistency.
• · Research terminology and cultural references to ensure accuracy in context.
• · Communicate with clients or stakeholders to clarify translation requirements and expectations.

REQUIREMENTS

• · Fluency in both Japanese and English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• · Degree in Translation, Linguistics, Japanese Language, or a related field (preferred).
• · Proven experience in professional translation, preferably in manufacturing industry.
• · Proficiency in translation software (e.g., SDL Trados, MemoQ, etc.) is a plus.
• · Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
• · Cultural understanding of both Japanese and the target language-speaking cultures.
• · Ability to handle sensitive or confidential information.
• · Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
• · Ability to move or lift up to 50+ lbs.
• · Capability to stand for prolonged periods of time
• · Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel.
• · Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination.
• · Communication skills.
