Job DescriptionGeneral Production Worker Post 10/23/17GENERAL SUMMARY:This position is an entry level into manufacturing. This position will be responsible for all types of general labor such as forming boxes to package products and prepare for shipping. Associate will be required to perform all types of rework items as directed by supervisor. This position can be performed with adequate basic training.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:•Obeys all plant/safety rules and complies with all OSHA regulations.•Loads hoppers and feeders.•Assists in the feeds and /or catches of the various types of equipment .•Inspects product and packs into W-I-P containers.•Assists in the forming parts and building assemblies for display of product.•Assists in the packaging of final product for shipping.•Performs miscellaneous hand and table work as assigned.•Performs rework by inspecting and /or salvaging stock as assigned.•Maintains production orders and machine logs as operation requires.•Maintains quality checks and audits as specified by procedure or specification.•Maintains clean and organized work area.•Performs other duties as assigned.Experience Required:Required Length & Type of Experience:•Manufacturing experience is helpful.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: •Must have the ability to read, write, and perform simple math.•Ability to work on either an individual or crew basis. •Ability to move to different jobs on a daily basis as required.•Must have good oral communication skills to work in a team-based environment.•Quality conscious at all times.•Possess strong reasoning skills.
