Salary: $45,005 / year
The Chattahoochee Valley Libraries is seeking a qualified applicant for the position of Full-Time Librarian. This is a 40 hour per week position in the Adult Services Department at the Columbus Public Library.
All applicants must have a Master's of Library Science from an American Library Association-accredited university or college; have high energy and pleasing dispositions. Applicants must have a passion for public service, show currency and proficiency with technology applicable to public library service and programming, be comfortable writing and publishing relevant materials to online platforms and in print, and have a record of being responsible and dependable. Prior library experience, bi-lingual, experience teaching computer classes, or experience in genealogy research, would be stand out qualities. Applicants must be able to communicateeffectively with supervisors, staff, and the public. Applicants must also be available to report to any branch or department in the system and work nights and weekends in rotation.
Applicants must have a Master's of Library Science from an American Library Association-accredited program or be within 6 months of completion and currently enrolled in an ALA-accredited program.
