Requirements:

• Be a United States citizen.

• Have a security clearance - SECRET

• Be a graduate of an accredited Engineering college curriculum (four [4]-year degree minimum AND have a minimum of six (6) years of Design Management and/or Design experience performing tasks identified herein.

• It is highly desirable to have their U.S. Professional Engineering Registration (P.E.) in the discipline being hired (i.e. mechanical design technical support requires a mechanical engineering license) but not required.

• Have demonstrated knowledge of broad-based Engineering principles and versed in the discipline being hired.

• Sound understanding of technical concepts, principles and practices applicable to multidisciplined engineering project design.

• Have demonstrated experience with the following:

o Performing fire protection engineering for new and existing facilities to include analysis/basis, plans, specifications, calculations and estimates for acquisition of active and passive fire protection systems for protection of various facility types. Fire protection systems include, but are not limited to, water-based fire suppression system, standpipe system, chemical-based fire suppression system, gaseous clean agent fire suppression system, fire pump and control system, water supply and storage system, firefighting access and fire hydrant systems, advance early warning and conventional fire alarm/detection and mass notification system, fire alarm reporting system, smoke control/management system, structural fireproofing system, firestop system, national recognized testing laboratory testing requirements, life safety and means of egress system, fire resistance rated construction and opening protective systems, facility mutual fire exposure protection system, building code allowable facility size regulations, electrical hazard classifications, hazardous material/waste protection, life safety power supply system, marking and illumination of egress system, etc.

• Have demonstrated the ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.

• Have demonstrated experience in preparing correspondence, written reports, and in briefing management personnel

• Provide satisfactory proof of U.S. citizenship. (U.S. or naturalized).

• Have demonstrated experience in the use and application of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), AutoCAD and/or Revit, etc. Have the ability to adapt to new software such as eCMS, MS Teams and Zoom may also be necessary.

• Complete the SF-85-P, Questionnaire for Public Trust Positions. This task order shall establish necessary base/building access requirements.
