Alan Cooper & Associates, is a well-established legal practice specializing in Family Law, with over 30 years of service in the legal industry. Our practice serves clients across Oakland, Macomb, Wayne, Genesee, Monroe, and Washtenaw counties, handling Family Law cases and occasionally representing clients in small criminal matters.

*Position Overview:*

We are seeking a motivated Associate Attorney with 0–2 years of experience to join our dynamic legal team. This role involves working directly with clients and independently managing case files from start to finish.

*Key Responsibilities:*

* Manage Family Law and occasional small criminal cases, including:

* Conducting trials and hearings

* Drafting and arguing motions

* Handling discovery processes

* Communicating effectively with clients

* Representing clients in all stages of proceedings

* Maintain case deadlines and documentation in compliance with legal standards.

* Provide compassionate, professional legal counsel to clients during challenging times.

*Qualifications:*

* Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

* Licensed to practice law in Michigan.

* 0–2 years of legal experience, preferably in Family Law.

* Strong written and oral advocacy skills.

* Ability to work independently and handle multiple case files efficiently.

* Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
