Job Summary
Hustlepups Nyc is a small, woman owned dog boarding and daycare business in Brooklyn, NY. We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and responsible Dog Daycare/Boarding Handler to join our team! In this role, you'll be directly responsible for the care, safety, and enrichment of dogs in our facility. From supervising playgroups, taking walks and maintaining a clean and healthy environment, you'll play a vital part in ensuring every pup has a safe and fun stay with us.
General Accountabilities
Walk dogs each day to provide adequate exercise.
Oversee playgroups and take photos of client dogs
Work one-on-one with customers to ensure a positive boarding experience
Clean pet(s) and their areas
Comply with all safety measures established by the company
Maintain a professional demeanor while working as a team member
Other cleaning and administrative duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
Must have prior dog daycare/boarding, walking, veterinary, rescue and handling experience
Great communication skills
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion
Must be able to work in all inclement weather conditions
Must be comfortable around dogs and puppies of all sizes
Must be able to walk up to 4 dogs on leash at one time comfortably and safely
Professionalism at all times
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility at all times to fit the needs of the company
Prior experience with Slack a plus
Punctuality is a must
