Inverness Country Club is seeking a dynamic Director of Private Events to lead our event programming and private banquet sales.

For over 50 years, Inverness Country Club has been a cornerstone of Birmingham’s social and recreational scene. With a championship George Cobb-designed golf course that was renovated in 2006 by renowned architect Bill Bergin, 16 tennis courts, resort-style pools, and a newly renovated clubhouse, we offer our members a luxurious escape and a vibrant community. Our events are the heartbeat of the club—and we’re looking for someone to make them unforgettable. This Club is owned and operated by Heritage Golf Group.

What You’ll Do

• Design and execute a year-round calendar of member events—from holiday galas to themed dinners and family-friendly fun
• Sell and manage private banquets including weddings, corporate functions, and social celebrations
• Collaborate with culinary, operations, and marketing teams to deliver seamless, high-impact experiences
• Build lasting relationships with members and clients to drive engagement and repeat business
• Promote events through club communications, social media, and targeted campaigns
• Lead and inspire event staff to uphold the highest standards of service

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience in event planning and sales, ideally in a private club or luxury hospitality setting
• A proven track record of driving revenue and creating memorable experiences
• Exceptional communication, organization, and leadership skills
• Proficiency in event management software and CRM tools
• A passion for people, creativity, and Southern hospitality
