Job Description

Salary: $100,300 - 206,000 per year Requirements:

  • We are looking for motivated individuals holding an active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance at the time of application. Applicants for the Software Engineer (DevOps) position may be considered for either Level 3 or Level 4 depending on their qualifications.
  • Level 3:
  • - A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience, or a Master's degree with 3 years, or a PhD with at least 1 year of experience (excluding internships and research projects).
  • - We may consider additional 4 years of experience as a substitute for a completed bachelor’s degree.
  • Level 4:
  • - A Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of relevant professional experience, or a Master's with 6 years, or a PhD with 4 years (excluding internships and research projects).
  • - We may consider an extra 4 years of experience in lieu of a completed bachelor’s degree.
  • Furthermore, candidates should have:
  • Experience in Java programming.
  • Software design expertise.
  • Knowledge in software unit testing.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and microservice architecture (containerization).
  • Proficiency in object-oriented design (OOD/OOP).
Responsibilities:
  • In the role of Software Engineer (DevOps) within our team, I will expect you to:
  • Support our Processing Team with the development of tasking and scheduling software.
  • Collaborate on an Agile team working on two programs with a shared baseline.
  • Execute bi-weekly sprints and deliver on three-month increments.
  • Design, develop, document, refactor, test, and debug applications, ensuring high quality and functionality.
  • Undertake additional duties as necessary.
  • Please note that this position is contingent upon clearance verification and successful transition to the NG-sponsored program while maintaining the required clearance level.

This Software Engineer (DevOps) position is situated at one of our locations in Morrisville, NC, Fairfax, VA, or Linthicum, MD. It is an on-site role that adheres to a 9/80 work schedule, offering every other Friday off. You will contribute significantly to the mission by assisting in program development, utilizing an Agile framework and the Atlassian tool suite for development tasks.
