Purpose Floor & Decor Designers provide a seamless start-to-finish consultative design service that builds lasting relationships and brand loyalty with customers. They meet with customers, listen to their project needs, educate them on requirements, and create a design concept that reflects the customer's personal style, lifestyle, and budget. Pay Range $18.00 - $25.50 Minimum Eligibility Requirements Minimum of one (1) year of interior design or retail/sales experience Design degree is a plus Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus Proficient in basic mathematical skills Self-motivated with ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Internal candidates must have 12 months of experience in a design consultant role Essential Functions Greet customers and support design walk-ins Schedule design appointments and develop clientele through networking and referrals Advise on tile, wood, stone, and accessories for residential and commercial projects Design and sell complete, functional, and attractive solutions Manage multiple projects with accuracy and timeliness, maintaining clear communication Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation Support company initiatives and stay updated on design trends Utilize design applications such as Salesforce, MyProject, etc. Perform other duties as assigned Working Conditions Limited travel by car may be required Exposure to warehouse environment and moving vehicles; noise level moderate to noisy Physical Requirements Medium work capacity: exerting 20-50 pounds occasionally, 10-25 pounds frequently, and handling objects as needed. Frequent use of hands and fingers; occasional standing, walking, reaching, climbing, and stooping. Store and Pickup Hours Monday - Friday: 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM; Saturday: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM; Sunday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM. Pickup hours mirror store hours.
