The Data Engineer Intern will work on projects which help them learn the overall strategy data flow design and provide value to both the intern and Voloridge. Summary of Job Functions Work on project assignments mentored by an assigned data engineer Learn the current Strategy Data Group technology stack Learn, follow, and contribute to the Strategy Data Group engineering standards Acclimate to the Strategy Data Group SDLC Create and/or maintain data engineering and operational documentation, where applicable Be empowered to recommend new data engineering practices and technologies Assist Data Analysts in troubleshooting data issues, where applicable Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline Basic understanding of transactional and dimensional data modeling Basic SQL programming skills Basic scripting language skills, such as Python or Powershell Ability to work onsite in our Jupiter, Florida office (not a remote role) Preferred Skills and Knowledge Knowledge of incremental data pipeline design patterns Knowledge of data change detection technologies Knowledge of Polars, TurbODBC, and TraceBack Python libraries Knowledge of open-source database engines such as Clickhouse, ArcticDB, DuckDB, and PostGreSQL Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud data features Knowledge of investment and/or finance concepts Knowledge of traditional Agile SDLC best practices, ceremonies, and tools Knowledge of source control concepts (such as branching and pull requests) and tools (such as GitHub, BitBucket, and Azure DevOps) Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline Benefits Fully paid housing if applicable Uber stiped to cover most transportation costs Free breakfast, lunch and snacks on-site daily Gym membership included Additional Information Voloridge Investment Management is an SEC registered investment advisor.
