JOB DESCRIPTION:
Job Title: COTA (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant).
Location: 125 Holly Rd, Hamburg, PA 19526
Shift Schedule: 08-hour shifts | 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Duration: 13 Weeks (Possible extension depending on business needs).
Pay Rate: $40/hour on W2.
Guarantee Hours: 35.
Note: Local, travel, and per diem options are available.

Responsibilities:
Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans designed by the Occupational Therapist (OT).
Provide therapeutic interventions to improve patients' functional abilities, including activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, and occupational skills.
Monitor and document patients' progress, noting any changes in condition or response to therapy.
Collaborate with the OT and interdisciplinary team to modify treatment plans as needed.
Educate patients and families on exercises, safety precautions, and strategies to promote independence at home.
Maintain a safe and clean therapy environment.
Adhere to all ethical and legal standards of practice, as well as company policies and procedures. 

Skills/Experience Needed:
Requires a minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a COTA or greater.
Strong understanding of occupational therapy principles and techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to motivate and engage patients with empathy and patience.
Proficiency in documenting and maintaining accurate patient records.
Experience working in a rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or similar setting is preferred.

Education:
High School Diploma or GED.
Associate’s Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program from an accredited institution.

Certifications:
Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
Active state license or eligibility for licensure in Virginia.
BLS AHA (preferred).
Must have completed the full vaccination regimen.
