Job Description:

We are looking for a motivated, meticulous, office-based Estimator to join our dynamic team full-time. In this role, you will be preparing accurate and timely cost estimates, bid packages and budgets for custom glazing and metal projects by evaluating materials, labor, and production requirements. You’ll work closely with our leadership, project managers, and trade partners to ensure each project is priced accurately and competitively.

This position requires a background in cost modeling, quantity takeoffs, change order analysis, and capital project estimating. Qualified candidates should have experience preparing estimates at various stages of design and construction, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. Experience in glazing is a plus.

Skills

• Experience in glazing, project and / or construction estimating

• Proven ability to build accurate estimates based on detailed analysis of project requirements.

• Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail to ensure precision in all estimates.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration across teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Research and gather information Review architectural plans, specifications, and other project documents to understand scope and requirements.

• Create estimates: Use your knowledge of construction documents: plans, blueprints to estimate costs and take offs for materials, labor, and time.

• Collaborate with others:

  Consult with project managers, and contractors, if necessary.

• Write proposals:

  Create detailed proposals that outline the project's cost.

• Stay current:

  Keep up with market trends and material costs to ensure accurate estimates.

• Risk Assessment:

  Identify potential risks in project costs and developing contingency plans.

• Quality Assurance:

  Ensuring estimates are accurate, complete, and aligned with project specifications.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Proven experience in high-end residential or commercial construction estimating. Ability to interpret architectural drawings and construction documents. 3 to 5 years in applicable fields or industry.

• Technical Skills: Strong math and analytical skills, proficiency in reading blueprints and construction documents.

• Software Proficiency: Experience with relevant estimating software (e.g., Sage, Excel, Teams, Microsoft office suites

• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.

• Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to detail and accuracy in all aspects of estimation.

• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues related to cost estimation.

• No Remote: Ability to work in our office in North Hollywood full time
