Job Description
Responsibilities of the Commercial Roofing Estimator include :
- Attend all pre-bid meetings required for projects assigned
- Analyze and comprehend project manuals, specifications, plans, addendums, and other project bid documents
- Prepare accurate takeoffs, estimates, and bill of materials based upon project bid documents.
- Experience in Estimating Edge or Acculynx is a plus.
- Conduct reviews of estimates with project management team and President for final approval
- Prepare bids, proposals, and quotations based upon estimates
- Maintain records in Company CRM database of Customers, Contacts, Project, and Communications.
- Experience in FollowUp CRM is a plus.
- Prepare project records upon receipt of contract including bill of materials, scope of work, budget for accounting entry, summary of quotes, etc.
- Prepare and deliver submittal documents as required by the project
- Prepare value engineering alternatives in consultation with President and project management team.
- Assist project management team in preparation and delivery of project change orders as necessary
- Survey and inspect existing roofs as required for projects that are not new construction
- Learn how to estimate the direct and indirect costs for the recommended scopes of work
- Deliver and present proposals to prospects and customers in a timely manner.
